When you have had a long day’s work, it is only natural for you to feel too exhausted to go through removing makeup the right way. Nevertheless, you should never take this lightly. It can have serious repercussions.

Left over makeup can clog up your pores. Clogged pores means that your skin seems to be suffocated, unable to breathe well and hence, unable to regenerate. Thus, the next time you think about going to bed without removing your makeup, then think twice.

Here is the right way to removing makeup.

Begin by tying your hair back into a ponytail; you do not want them coming in the way while you are cleaning your face.

You can start with your eyes. Moisten a small cotton ball with some makeup remover. Now, using it gently work on the area around the eyes and then proceed further. Wipe off each eye well so that no trace of a cosmetic is left behind while taking care that nothing gets into your eyes.

Now, you can cleanse your face properly. You can use any of the several products that are available in the market. Nevertheless, do at least some research before using any and before you use a new product, always try it on a small area of your face first. Wet your face and work a lather with the cleanser on your face.

While you are cleansing your face, make sure you take care of the places on your face where you had applied your makeup. Do not go for too warm water, lukewarm water will work the best. Not only will it help to let your cleanser work better, it will be soothing on your face too.

There is no need to hurry up. Take enough time to allow for good cleansing. Then rinse off the cleanser well with enough warm water. Repeat this again. Then, dry your face with a nice clean towel, pat it and do not rub it.

While this procedure is simple enough, if you do not do it regularly or properly, then you can damage your skin. If you want a healthy skin, you will need unclogged and clean pores. Hence, however stressed or exhausted you are, do not forget to cleanse your face; you will never regret doing it.
